Incredable Grandmother Ever

This photo is take after my Mom's Liver Cancer surgery when my son was 3 month old. The following will be a letter to Mom (not delivered yet)

Mommy,

There were only a few time when I told you I love you and how much you mean to me. I don’t know why. Perhaps it is because I want to portray myself as a non-sentimental person. I know that, if I said “I love you” as many times as I wanted to, I would have had tears, and, consequently, I would have made you cry too.

Mother, I love you because you are the most incredible woman I have ever met. The sacrifices you made for my sister and me are something I will always be grateful for.

We couldn’t understand why it seemed you were so cruel to us, especially when we were teenagers and wanted to stay out until midnight. At the time, we hated you for that. I believe this period of time was the most challenging for you. We thought we hated you, and you loved us.

Now, mother, I never thought I would have you so fragile by my side. You have always been so strong and full of life. My uncle used to call you “Aunt Feet” because you always worked so hard, and always loved to visit with people (you with your kind heart – always helping others).

Now, mother, I’m deeply saddened to hold your forehead, the same way you held mine, and to pick your body up, weakened from percocet. I’ve got you, Mommy. I am here to take care of you the way you took care of me. I will not stop until I get the best care for you. I will not quit until you are comfortable. Together, we will fight this illness that is trying to take you away from me.

We can not quit, Mother – You can not quit! Please fight it. I need you. Your grandchildren need you. I am here to love you the way you loved me.
