Sapphire Blue: The birthstone of September is the sapphire, one of the most cherished gems in the world. Although the sapphire comes in many colors, it is the iconic bright blue that is not only most associated with the stone, but is the most valuable. The sapphire is similarly named to the aster, with a root name which means “celestial”.
