The Five Fabulous Flowers We’re Thankful For

There are so many great flowers that it can be hard to choose a favorite. For floral designers, it can be even more difficult- after all, we love them all! But we’ve also learned that the flowers you choose as your favorites also has a lot to do with what kind of person you are. Your personality traits can be revealed by the flowers you choose to include in your home and work environments, as well as those you choose to send to others.

Here are some of the most beautiful flowers that we at City Line Florist get excited about. We love to work with these beauties for a number of reasons, like how good they smell or how long they last. We also love to talk about our favorites with our friends! If you haven’t decided on your favorite flower yet, go ahead and choose one of ours. It’s okay- we’ll share.

Pincushion Protea

We’re thankful for protea because they’re our favorite! This super cool flower gets its name from Greek mythology when Proteus, son of Poseidon, would disguise himself to hide from those seeking his prophesies. Being able to change his shape at will is why the protea, with over 1,400 varieties and shapes, to be named for him. Today, protea like those in our Canary Yellow bouquet represent diversity and courage, stemming from its association with transformation and change.

Succulents

Succulents are another favorite of ours because they are truly the gift that keeps on giving. Succulents are long-lasting and low-maintenance, so when a beautiful bouquet like our Succulent Sunset has served its time, recipients can know the succulent can be planted and easily maintained for months. These also add earthy texture to any design, making a lovely complement to bright colorful or delicate flowers.

Garden Roses

Their classic beauty and unmistakable fragrance make roses a favorite in many circles. With so many varieties, the meanings conveyed with roses are as numerous as their varieties. For example, red roses are a classic sign of love and affection, while orange represents passion and yellow friendship. If roses are your favorite flower, your passion and love for tradition cause you to seek the best in others and even bring it out in them. Send designs full of roses like our Heart of Gold bouquet to special people in your life who bring out the best in you!
